ABOUT US

Chris & Jitse

We are a photographer and a Seoul guide who have been working together since 2026. CDC documents the city through his lens — its light, its people, its hidden rhythms. JJ knows its streets the way most people know their own neighbourhood.

What started as a shared obsession with Seoul became something we wanted to share with others. The workshops grew out of a simple idea — that the best way to learn photography is to do it in a place that genuinely moves you.

People arrive as strangers. They leave as photographers — and usually as friends.

A SHORT FILM

What a day with us looks like.

Four minutes. No voiceover. Just Seoul, early morning, the sound of the city waking up — and two people who love it.

What Seoul means to us

Gwangjang Market at 6am

Before the tourists arrive. Vendors setting up, steam rising from bindaetteok pans, the particular blue light that comes through the market's old fabric roof. This is the Seoul we want to show people — not the postcard version.

The Han River at golden hour

When the light hits the bridges from the west, Seoul looks like no other city on earth. We've shot this a hundred times and it still stops us. There's a specific bend where the reflection doubles everything.

The alleys nobody photographs

Not the famous Bukchon viewpoint — everyone goes there. The alley two streets behind it, where a woman has been selling persimmons from the same spot for thirty years. JJ found it in 2018 and we've been taking groups there ever since.

Seoul after midnight

The city doesn't sleep. Jongno at 1am has more life in it than most cities at noon. Neon, rain-soaked pavement, the sound of pojangmacha tents snapping in the wind. One of the best things you can do with a camera in this city.
